Alessandro Albert was born in Turin, Italy in 1965 and
Paolo Verzone in Turin, Italy in 1967, currently based in Paris. In the 90’s, with A. Albert, he created a work on Muscovites, collected in the volume Volti di Passaggio. In the following years he developed personal projects, among which was the Peshawar project which received the Canon Best Portfolio award and finalist for the Leica Oskar Barnack Award. With the portrait project Seeuropeans, Albert & Verzone were given an award at World Press Photo 2001 in the portrait singles category. As a portraitist and reporter, Verzone works with major magazines as Le Monde 2, Das Magazin, Ventiquattro, Geo, D della Repubblica, Io Donna. His images are present in the collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Bibliotheque Nationale. Paolo Verzone is also represented by the Agence VU.
